Archbishop Cooper's Coat of Arms

Standards

The Apostolic Commission for Royalty and Nobility will not approve certification of any organization that has women priests and does not explicitly state that no homosexuals are allowed within it as a matter of policy. All individuals and orders must declare opposition to abortion as well.

Fraternal orders are not religious orders. The position of the Apostolic Commission on Royalty and Nobility with regard to religious military orders of chivalry is that they must be either sovereign, apostolic ecclesiastical or both. The sovereign category needs a "spiritual prior" as a chaplain as a minimum. It must be a bishop. In short, you need investiture by a sovereign or a charter as a jurisdiction of a bishop of the apostolic succession or both.

Explanatory Comments on Standards

Our standards are very high. Any order religious or sovereign must meet our intentionally high standards. There is no exception.

The position of the Apostolic Commission on Royalty and Nobility is that a chivalric order is only valid if it is sponsored by a bishop with verifiable apostolic succession or a sovereign prince. If you have a bishop with the apostolic succession or a sovereign prince, then we will certify your chivalric organization. You must still meet our moral standards.

If you do not have a prince, we will help you find one. The prince must be willing to take your entire order. Alternatively, you could get a bishop of the apostolic succession. The bishop must declare that he is your bishop and holds to the moral standard that we require.

The bishop must openly declare that he does not not accept homosexuals or women priests, If you can not get a bishop that will declare that he is the bishop of your order of chivalry and issue ecclesiastical charter, archbishop Cooper is willing to provide this service.

In that case you must appoint archbishop Cooper as the archbishop of your chivalric order. Archbishop Cooper will then accept you as an ecumenical fraternal or religious order and certify the same with a charter.
